Maharashtra: 17-year-old girl hangs self over ‘lack of funds’ to repair damaged mobile phone screen
Police have registered a case of accidental death and started further investigating the matter.
The incident is said to have taken place on Friday afternoon at the madrasa in Savar’s Kamalapur area in Bangladesh.

In a bizarre incident, a headmaster of a madrasa in the Bhabanipur area of Bangladesh’s Savar has been arrested for sexually harassing a Class 7 student.
The accused – Md Kamruzzaman, 36 – was taken into custody by officials from the Savar Model Police Station on Saturday, May 23, Dhaka Tribune reported.

The incident is said to have taken place on Friday afternoon at the madrasa in Savar’s Kamalapur area.

As per the family members of the victim, the student was residing in the madrasa dormitory. They have claimed that the headmaster at the madrasa used to make inappropriate remarks to her and even subjected her to harassment.
On Friday, the accused allegedly called the girl to classroom and started behaving inappropriately with her. Later on, the girl narrated the entire incident to her family and her father filed a complaint against the headmaster at the Savar Model Police Station.
Imran Hossain, in-charge of the Bhabanipur Police Camp under Savar Model Police Station, informed that the girl’s father filed the complaint on Saturday morning. Following this, the police conducted a raid in the Bhabanipur area around noon and arrested the accused.
Further investigation in the matter is currently underway and legal action will be taken against the headmaster of the madrasa based on the findings in the case.
